All authors can benefit from TaleFlick. Our curation is focused solely on the content, not the publisher. We accept fiction & nonfiction books, that are published or self-published. We also accept scripts.

If there's interest in your book, the optioning party will get in touch with both you and your publisher or agent to discuss the terms and rights of the deal. At that time, the rights will be determined as part of the optioning process. This is normal practice for book optioning.
Copyright protection is worldwide, due to international copyright treaties. You can refer to our article on Copyrighting in the US, available here . If you live in Brazil, you should register with the National Library.
If your story is not in English or Brazilian Portuguese, you may contact us to register your interest and we will let you know when your language is supported.

Please upload your book or script as a PDF file. The file size maximum is 10MB. If your file is larger, you can look into pdf compressors (available for free online) or contact us for an alternative upload solution.
The fee covers ONE book or script upload, our custom curation process, and a year of hosting on our platform. If you have multiple stories to submit, please contact our support team as we offer a discount to authors who submit three or more stories. You will need to upload one book or script at a time so that the data can be entered properly into our system.
Our evaluation process is set up in two parts. The first is our algorithm system, which collects data about the book (this does not apply to scripts). It allows us to select content according to the parameters we wish to curate at that time. The second part is our human reader team, because we believe strongly in the value of human experience. We do this for paid books and scripts. When a story is selected for curation, it is reviewed by the reader team, who identify the best stories and recommend them for further consideration.
We are looking for great original stories. Therefore, our selection is not based on sales, but on content and current market - meaning what studios and producers are looking for. Our curation is above all focused on great story finding, which is the core of every great movie and tv series.
The content that producers and studios look for is constantly changing, therefore we cannot predict when and if your book or script will be chosen - but it will be available in our library for the duration of your subscription. It may appear on lists at anytime, depending on the criteria we search for.
Maintaining the security and privacy of our users' data is our utmost concern at TaleFlick. All data, including all stories, are encrypted and book files are watermarked. To protect your content in transit, we use 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption and 256-bit AES encryption when sitting in our servers.
ROFR means you still retain all rights to your book or script, but give us the first option to buy the dramatic rights. For instance, if you receive an offer from another company, you must give us the chance to match it. If we don't, then you can license the Film & TV rights to the other company per their offer. There is more information about the ROFR in the video here.
If you get an outside offer you can contact us (see below) and we will provide you with the next steps. Either we will decide to match the offer, or we will decline and you can option your material to the other party.
TaleFlick charges studios, producers and production companies for our recommended titles, as well as a back-end fee when movies and shows are made. We believe in our process and the ability to identify quality content, so that we can feed the ever increasing demand for original content.
We can’t download your book from Amazon, but they can send your file to you and you can submit through our platform.
We are a digital-first, design-informed platform and do not accept hardcopies.
TaleFlick pitch pagers are a combination of a treatment and original creative development themes done by our team of highly skilled readers and creative executives . They are designed to give an overview of the story as well as as our vision of the adaptation. This saves Producers and Studios a great deal of time in evaluating stories to be read.

It means it's available to producers and interested parties to find it within the platform. Immediately after being uploaded, it goes through the algorithm analysis, and will show up on searches (paid submissions only)
We accept Jpeg image files for book covers. If you have not uploaded an image of this type please edit your book and submit a new cover file.
In order to cancel your automatic renewal, please locate the order confirmation in your email from firstname.lastname@example.org. Click 'Manage Books' and you will be taken to a screen where you can see all your book submissions. There you will see information about your submission and renewal. Below 'Actions', click on 'Cancel'. You will then be prompted to enter a reason why you want to cancel the renewal. Once you fill that in and click submit your automatic renewal will be canceled.
Yes, TaleFlick can help producers “vet” material. Please reach our to us directly at email@example.com
Yes, TaleFlick does not take away from a producer’s vested interest in the project. Our goal is to help amplify the exposure of the material. We do this by getting it into the direct hands of development teams at studios and other producers by ultimately helping the producer execute on the project and the writer to be discovered.
